@Scrabbleman
Alright, spoilers incoming tough:
|| JADE CHAPTER
Kothal Khan (male, from what I remember he was Mayan God or something, so he’d probably be white if we talk about race) is being attacked by an army of Tarkattans (Baraka’s race, who are generaly portrayed in the series as blood thirsty warriors only; quote from MK Wiki: “They are often depicted as unintelligent, bloodthirsty brutes that serve the currently most powerful leader.”; to prove that’s the “right description” of them, in this chapter we are running through a cage with skinned human corpses hanging of meat hooks. We also see tarkatan eating human flesh). They have already betrayed him in the past, fighting aginst his rule on the side of Shao Khan (Portrayed in almost every game as a White muscular male, who does nothing besides conquering and killing). During infiltration of Tarkattan’s camp (by Jade, black female and Kothan’s fiance) a fight starts and Kothal and his men are victorious. During that infiltration we had been shown a “female tarkatan” who was clearly scared of Jade. Now, that all of them are captured and Kothal wants to execute them to not allow them for “future betrayl”. In that moment, we havea clear scene of that female tarkatan reaching hand to her lover/child (im not sure) in the typical way of “they could almost grab eachother hands”. Then we get typical lecture from Jade about them being “women and children”. When Kothal doesn’t change his mind, we (as a player) have to fight him as Jade as “it’s the right way”. We beat Kothal Khan by which we allow the leader of the Tarkattan army (Shao Khan) to capture both him and Jade.
KITANA CHAPTER
As Kitana (Asian princess, Shao Khan’s adoptive daughter; note: this is the first game when Kitana has clearly “asian appearance”. She is from Edenia, and to this date Kitana was portrayed as “white”) we are sent on a rescue mission to save both Kothal and Jade. We manage to save Jade (and learn that Kothal is going to be executed in coloseum), then we have to “turn tarkatans to our side”. Kitana ofcourse gives a speech about how we should “Fight with eachother, instead of aginst eachother” (saying that to a blood-thirsty army of warriors) and that once they free Kothal, she will make sure that Tarkatans will get to rule the netherrealm alongside him. When they get to the Coloseum, they beat up everyone that is there. We have talk from new character “Kolector” on how “Kitana rejected privelege when she turned away from Shao Khan” and Kitana is fine with that. During that, Shao Khan hugs (yes, hugs) Kothal soo tightly, that he breaks his spine (Wheelchair Fighter confirmed for Kombat Pack 2) crippling him. Kothal tells Jade that he was stupid and that she was right, and she says that his “Hardend heart can be reformed”. Then Kitana beats up Shao Khan (killing him I guess, altough it was preety lame for “Mortal Kombat Kill”) and goes to Kothal to check on him. He then gives his position as the ruller of Outworld to Kitana and says that she does deserve to be a “better ruler than he was”.

This is as much as I remember, some things may not be spot on, but that’s the gist of it.
One thing to add:
|| At a certain point, young Johny Cage is seen hitting on young Sonya Blade. After his pickup line, everyone around him in the room just stare at him with “are you serious” and then someone else grabs him by the ear and takes him out of the room.||
Just tought I’d add that, since it reminds me of that awful Gillete ad about “Toxic Masculinity”.
