The media wants to get rid of user scores on Metacritic now.
They want no criticism from normal people, just their fellating the ego of whatever dev or company they want people to like without question.
And assuming that’s actually a thing, and not just the paranoid misinterpretations of some random nobody on YouTube, maybe it’s less that they don’t want “normal people” to comment on stuff, and more that they don’t want tens of thousands of people to purposefully submit low scores out of anger over whatever perceived slight has them angry this time around.

A disaster you say? Curious, I remember it being very well reviewed by the critics, well reviewed by audiences (except, curiously enough, on sites that don’t have any restrictions on reviewing outside registration and are therefore open to review bombing), and the highest grossing film of 2017.
