Tropical Cyclone Thread

The devastation of Florida is giving me a slight PTSD flashbacks from what happened on Tacloban with Typhoon Haiyan.

Damage cost I guessed would be more than around 50 billions.

Nicole was only just a subtropical cyclone couple of days ago.

Can’t believe this is turning into a hurricane before another Floridian landfall.

But hey this is only Cat 1 so I’m sure they’ll handle out this storm well right?

My predictions for the 2023 Atlantic Hurricane Season are:

There’s a tropical cyclone over the Indian Ocean right now that is still active since January 30th.

And it can live up for the next 3 more days.

The name is Cyclone Freddy.

Cyclone Freddy has officially surpassed the longest lived tropical cyclone record set by Hurricane John which lasted for 31 days.

Cyclone Freddy has now completely dissipated and just broke multiple world records.

It holds the longest-lasting tropical cyclone ever at 36 days, the highest Accumulated Cyclone Energy (ACE) by a single storm at 84.6, and the most times undergoing rapid intensification at seven times.

Super Typhoon Mawar is now the strongest storm in the world this year so far.

It had already wasted Guam as a Cat 4 and now it’s heading straight for Northern Luzon.

Look how tremendously SHARP Mawar’s eye is. 😳

I will not be surprised if this would eventually level or surpass Haiyan’s power.

We’ve yet to begin the El niño.

Mawar is finally showing signs of decreasing trend as it maxed out 5 hours ago as a 185 MPH Cat 5 Super Typhoon. It will still remain as a Violent Typhoon for the next 3-4 days.

Looks like a whirlpool or a black hole in this satellite imagery. Now that’s the definitive Tropical Cyclone if I ever see one.
