Remember the days when almost all guns and stuff in Call of Duty was fully licensed and had real names? The good old days.

I assume the price? I remember reading something about Capcom switching out real name models in RE5 with legally distinct ones because the manufacturers asked too much money.

Meanwhile countless indie FPS and Korean MMOFPS have been using RL guns in their games.

Probably precisely because those are indie and and foreign games and not AAA studios, they get away with it because the license holders don’t bother trying to go after them.

But why charge for that? It’s basically free advertising.

AFAIK these laws don’t require a payment, only a permission. Companies can provide permission for free, but they don’t want to. And I wonder why do they not want to when it benefits them.

Companies like Magpul and EOTech used to enjoy having their products in Call of Duty. I think some outside influence put a stop to it.

Personally I would’ve gone with a folding stock, as the sliding stock attached will block the ejection port when collapsed.

Sten mag actually, according to the designer.
 
It’s basically the Mac Daddy with a collapsing stock and sten mags, rather than a folding (or whatever stock) and Glock mags. Personally I’d just use the regular Mac Daddy lower, as I can print Glock mags for it.

I know, the pattern looks similar to a PMAG though. An AR PMAG at least. Not a Glock PMAG.

Pretty. Did you also learn about it from a pen-and-paper “cyberpunk” sci-fi themed RPG, like I did?
 
It’s strange to think that fewer than two hundred were ever built. I wonder whether it could be improved upon by current manufacturing methods and materials. Maybe not–there hasn’t been THAT much advancement in those areas since the 1980s.
