Ms. Thompson is an technically an SMG. She being chambered for the .45 ACP round which is a pistol round.

Ms. Thompson is based on the Thompson M1928A1 SMG. Judging by her figure, I’m guessing she uses 50-round drum magazines.
 
In the manga, she can either act like a WWII-era soldier as her good side or act like a prohibition-era gangster as her bad side. She also has an American accent in the anime.

As tragic as the shooting was. Suing the gun manufacturers for crimes committed by criminal users is stupid.  
I find it disgusting that people would use tragedies to press an agenda. All emotionally driven, no reason.

I wish people would realize that the vast majority of gun crimes are committed with guns that aren’t obtained legally

Besides, the owner of that gun did everything she could to prevent her gun from falling to the wrong hands.

In the last 3 years, I’ve tried ARs, AKs (7.62 and 5.45), P90s, my sister’s Saiga-12, an MP5. (the AKs and SMGs were due to a cop letting us try out some stuff in his collection) The Tavor style guns, tactical M14s, an SR-25, a G36C, AUG A3 and a UMP45 are still on my list of ones to try.
 
 
When I get the money, I’m buying a .45 caliber Glock and a Kriss Vector SBR (civilian legal where I live and plan to move to).
 
And I’m not really interested in owning a Desert Eagle or the “bear-killer” revolvers, nor do I really like break action guns, and I prefer semi-auto over bolt action.

This is a cool topic. So, I’m gonna cast a thread necromancy spell here.
 
To those of you who own or have owned firearms - what is the one purchase you regret making?
 
For me, it’s a tie for two .308 caliber rifles made by Century Arms International, the C308 (G3/CETME clone) and the L1A1 sporter (FN FAL clone/parts-kit frankengun). Both of these rifles gave me problems from the moment I purchased them - the C308 consistently failed to go into battery/chamber a round, while the L1 had constant issues with the gas system and ejecting spent casings. I had to get rid of both because I needed the cash. It’s a shame, because both the G3 and FAL are such cool and iconic guns, and I’d love to have some actually functional examples in my collection some day.

I’m not enough of a gun collector to have guns I regret, but I don’t regret my AR15. It’s a 0.553 and uses a gas piston system.

I only own two guns and they’re both gifts.
 
I got my personal M1911A1 from my father and I got my combination gun from my grandmother.

You mean the PVAR(Pneumatic Valve And Rod) rifle system?  
That is a great upgrade from the direct gas-impingement system that most AR rifles use. Less fouling.

Have a DI AR-platform myself, haven’t really experienced much of any fouling, but then again I haven’t shot it too much as of late.
