1. Proof of Military service  
2. Proof of “honest living” (a letter from your boss or if self-employed you might need an accountant to write you something)  
3. Proof of address (I think)  
4. Pay fee  
   You also need to go to the only gun store in the country, in CD Mex.  
   That’s if your buying from the government. Private transactions require less paperwork but I forget exactly what is needed. Also only handguns (unless you are a member of a shooting club) whose caliber is “not superior” to 380 or 38spl. Your bet on what “not superior” is supposed to be is as good as mine but 45, 357 mag and 9mm parabellum are explicitly forbidden if I remember right. Confoundingly, the government recently stopped selling 5.7s to civillians. Must have been “too powerful” or something  
   Let’s not even get started on carry licenses. Long story short, your chances of getting one even if you “qualify” are about .0000  
   0001% or so.

You know, this is an odd question but just for fun, what weapons you WOULDN’T recommend. Call it because it’s of very dubious quality, very awkward to use (even if you’d need to screw it up so badly to check this one) or just simply too impractical.
