making me wonder why nobody ever uses fiberglass to mass-produce guns when it's lighter and just as strong.
 
Hard plastic is not as tough as metal; and fiberglass, ceramics and compowsites are not as ductile as metal so that barrel will blow up faster than a metal one due to fatigue.
