I have been waiting for I’m In Love With The Villainess to come out for quite some time.

I’ve been reading this manga for I want to say over a year now. Not as long as I’ve been reading 100 Girlfriends, but still a while. Point being, I heard there was going to a tsundere potentially involved in a yuri relationship and I had to check it out, because I love same sex relationships and I really love tsunderes.

This show is really a lot of fun. The comedy is on point and Claire is a fantastic character. She is the best part of the whole series. My one concern with this adaptation is I hope they don’t limit the budget a la Endo and Kobayashi just because it’s an otome. The manga has some really pretty drawings.

Also, I feel your enjoyment of the series will depend on how you perceive the main character. I like her, I think she’s funny for how genre savvy she is and how much in love she is with Claire, but I can see her behavior being annoying to a lot of people.

This isn’t my most hyped anime of the season, but it is #2. And so far with this episode, it looks like they are delivering. I hope they can keep it up.

Because that’s all you ever criticize. If a piece of media has LGBT characters or minorities, you immediately rag on it like it’s the next Superman 64. It’s almost like you’re a bigot or something.

And fyi, Bandai were not the creators. They’re the producers who didn’t like the adorable gay girls being gay for each other.

When you have no defense other then “You hate it because gay” I have a feeling that is the only reason you like it because of that.
Don’t you usually say I ONLY like Japanese things because “bigot” now that said I didn’t like something from Japan because “Bigot” That’s why your “Big bad words” mean nothing anymore because you call everyone them for not liking a stupid cartoon. I watched this show with a group people you would probably love because of all the “gay” stuff you say you love so much and they hated it, because they were looking for a Gundam show. Not, “silly pants girl who does the thing whose only character trait is Oh so quirky with magic robot that did everything for her and turns to pixie dust” Are they not “Bigot” as well to you? probably because that word like all the others just means “Stinky doo-doo head”

I imagine if it stayed the exact same except for that one thing . Most of the so-called “”fans”” would abandon it faster than they abandon friends with “problematic views.” They pretty much wished death on Bandai and Gundam afterwords so yes, I’m right.

You can like the loli lesbians, I don’t care. If “Your show” is so great, one jackass saying anything about it shouldn’t bother you so much, but decent in the “popular” thing strikes fear in the hearts of the fOMO.

Now quit making the discussion solely about someone who apparently doesn’t matter to you but you need to complain about, Oh the irony and talk about anime if you actually Like it in the first place.

I’m gonna go continue watching SEED, since FOMO doesn’t effect me or my reasoning. Only Fumo.

I wouldn’t even be calling you out for your bullshit if you actually had any legitimate criticism of Witch from Mercury. But you don’t.

All you brought up was “hur dur, it has no plot.” How exactly does it not have a plot? And how is Seed better, despite having an incredibly controversial second half?

Finally finished episode 1 of Shy. This is one of the best first episodes I’ve ever seen. I like how we kick off the series with thr hero unsure of if she should continue saving people. Basically asking the question “What makes someone a hero?” And then by the time that’s resolved, we get the stuff at the end that sets up the rest of the series.

Between this, Oshi no Ko, and Zom 100, this has been an excellent year for first episodes. I’d have each series in my top 10 as far as anime first episodes are concerned.

SEED’s first half is hype tho. The rivalry between two friends caught up in opposite sides of the conflict gives weight to the “both sides” argument, since we see the perspective of the two. The fight scenes are choreographed nicely, and the chara design are memorable.

Mech’s design on point. SEED’s CE mech have a good balance between military and fantastical, but keeping them industrial without going aliens (as opposed to Zeon’s prototype mechs which are…monsters of the day, essentially). Best of all, SEED’s design translate amazingly well into their plamo kits

I own a couple of gundam plamo and CE mechs have always been my fave.

If there is one thing I absolutely hate about SEED…is the names. I can’t, for the life of me–aside from Kira Yamato and Athrun Zala–remember the rest, so much that I call them by their traits.
Big tiddy captain woman. Redhead thot. Handsome blondie with max rizz. Glasses. that one guy that died. Char clone. Athrun’s friends; the bowl cut, the brown skin, the femboy.

Granted I can’t remember ANY of the names in G-Witch either. Especially the earth house. I only know ChuChu and Nika. The rest I also call by traits: Cute fat girl. Fortune teller. House Rep. Miles Morales. Miles’ best bud. Shaddiq’s harem I didn’t even bother.

Sophie and Norea I remember. Because their deaths hit me extra hard.

As a 100 Girlfriends fan, I have been waiting for this day for quite some time.

I am not normally someone who consumes a lot of manga. And when I do, it’s normally after an anime has finished airing. However, I decided to check this series out after like 30 or so chapters because I found it it had a tsundere. And man. One of the best decisions of my life.

Karane is in my opinion the best tsundere currently going right now. Better than Noelle, better than Eris, you name it. I love Karane. I love the contrast between her toughness and her sweetness and how almost every time she does something volatile, she almost always counters it with an act of remorse. And her ability to act as a straight man is second to none. Karane is everything I love about tsunderes and why I love tsunderes so much. She has a lot of love to give but just doesn’t know how to display it properly, and that is so adorable.

But even more than that, I have seen a lot of comedy manga in my time. Like, a lot a lot. And 100 Girlfriends may be one of the best out of all of them. I love how the show takes such a silly premise and plays it to the nth degree. The sincerity in such an over-the-top series serves as a great balance that makes it simply phenomenal. This series is like if Nichijou was a harem and it was crossed with Komi-san and the satirical elements of The World God Only Knows. And I mean that in the best possible way.

Of all the series getting new animes this season, this one has the highest ceiling. I think if the anime adapts the manga well, 100 Girlfriends can be the greatest comedy anime of all time. Or at the very least, the funniest harem of all time. I am so hyped we are getting this show, and that we are witnessing this series in what appears to be a loving adaptation that fully captures the intoxicatingly brilliant madness in all its glory.

This truly is the best timeline.

It had a great first 60 or so chapters. Kinda dragged for the next 50 or so though.

But luckily it picked up the pace again recently.

I decided to go to my local Regal Cinemas to see Blue Giant yesterday. It was decently packed to, about like 26 people which is a lot for a non-Ghibli Fest film. I figured “I love anime, and I love jazz? This should be a fun time.”

For as good as the first 90 minutes were, the last 30 minutes were probably the best material I’ve seen out of an anime film this year. It was absolutely outstanding. That final jazz session was honestly some of the best animation I’ve seen in quite some time. It was amazing how good it was.

Blue Giant is a testament to the saying “It’s not about how you start, it’s about how you finish.” And the ending was one of the most emotional, bittersweet, somewhat cathartic feelings I’ve felt in quite a while.
