True, that is pretty great. Though I have to wonder what kind of leg contortions she’s doing in this frame. I mean, that could potentially be painful.

I love how much Toru [Invisible girl] gets into the whole Cheerleading thing. She just throws herself at things full force~

Oh, okay. Apparently, season two of Aggretsuko was released today.
Sorry, MHA, you’re going to have to wait. I have a prior commitment to metal panda wife.

Hitoribocchi ep 11. Now that Bocchi has more people she can talk to, it occurs to me that the show’s mob characters’ detailed designs and distinct personalities not only adds more life to the show, but also helps to highlight Bocchi’s insecurities. It’s tougher to talk to her classmates when they’re not all potatoes.
New girl was good. Her arc took one ep, but the writing was subdued enough that it didn’t feel rushed. I like that this show consistently has Bocchi showing kindness to the characters she befriends, not treating them like names on a checklist.
But the best part of this show is still Nako being a bully. I mean, Nako looking at Bocchi with warmth and pride is great, but Nako bullying Bocchi is the Best.

Carole and Tuesday ep 10. This arc kinda sucks, actually.
Wasn’t really feeling Angela’s performance this time. Pytor singing about being himself when he seems fake as hell was weird, and the drastic change from his talking voice to his singing voice doesn’t help.
I can’t tell if someone on this show is purposefully airing out their grievances or this is just plain ol’ bad writing, but so many of these characterizations are so irritating. This side-story with Cybelle particularly bugs the hell out of me.
Thematically, they seem to have ditched the whole algorithms vs. man-made art thing and just replaced the AIs with characters who are “quirky.” This is feeling less like a show about how art is created and more like someone taking shots at personalities they think are weird. This show’s feeling more like a gimmicky idol anime, but with less cute art and more problematic writing.
Sarazanmai ep 10. This was a pretty cruel turn of events. These twists really seemed to come out of nowhere, and I’m not exactly sure what to think of them right now.
The confidence and power in Reo’s voice acting helped these scenes a lot.

Re: Hitoribocchi: I also love how, even when she’s bullying Hitori, it’s usually in a pretty fun, if not lighthearted way.
It was kind of obvious, but I do like how they handled Mayo as a character, she’s a little naive, but has a very good heart in her.
I also like how, even with all of her friends, she’s still her usual overly worried self instead of changing her personality, it’s a really nice, realistic thing for the show to do.

I agree so much. I’ve grown to really like this style of character development. The development is less clear-cut but also less simplistic, which I feel is more like how people actually grow. And I appreciate shows like this that can pull it off without being gritty or cynical.

I agree with you on that, it’s a pleasant change of pace from how other shows then do it.

Heh. In the Aggretsuko universe, “Amazon” is called “Amazoo.”
Ah, it’s nice to be watching this show again.

Okay, so a few people got on my case for skipping the intro to MHA, but I’ll tell you what, the Aggretsuko intro is one I’ll never skip.

Fruits Basket ep 11. I totally forgot about the story of the foolish traveler. I can’t honestly say I find that sort of self-less-ness relatable or inspiring. Momiji talks about how the traveler’s idea of happiness is just different than everyone else’s, which I can understand. But I’ve felt like this show had been fighting against that, that one of the show’s morals is that Tohru had earned the right to be a bit more selfish. I feel like in the context of the show as a whole, the traveler is foolish.
The shoujo stuff was good. I like the effect that Tohru has on the Sohmas. I’ve decided that this Momiji is cuter than the original, although I think his outfits are toned down from the original? I guess the fashion has to reflect the times, they do have smartphones in this version.
Senryuu Shoujo ep 11. The marriage symbolism would’ve been cute if Eiji wasn’t so dumb. I’m tired of how non-committal slice-of-life shows are in general, but in this ep they don’t even let the subtext sink in, they have the dude deny it right away. Maybe this is a cultural thing, but I just don’t get why anime high-school boys are like this.
Kimtesu no Yaiba ep 11. Zenitsu seems to be going through that phase of development that Tanjiro had already passed, except he’s louder. I guess Zenitsu is meant to be Tanjiro’s foil, but does this mean we’re going to see the same sort of character development where a protag learns to be brave and strong, just with a different character?

Third Season or even Cour is massive barrier what most shows other than popular shonen can’t breach. Dogakobo didn’t even made third season of their flagship Yuru Yuri

I don’t think it’s that uncommon for kids’ shoujo to go 50-100+ eps. Most just don’t get licensed.

Hold up… so this is implying that this is a world where Apocalypse Now exists. Which means that the Vietnam War happened in this world.
Somehow, I can’t imagine cutesy talking animals fighting in Nam.
What type of animal would furry Colonel Kurtz be? God forbid we get to see furry John Rambo…

Whenever I went on a date, I would end up talking the poor fella’s ear off! They couldn’t take the constant barrage of chit-chat. Some of them had breakdowns. Folks even called me ‘A-talk-alypse Now’!
