Not really dumb. Think about it:

an anime based on the live action of an anime is totally like a comic book based on the live action of a comic book–is kinda already happening with the superhero genre.

If I’m getting into Hayao Miyazaki films, where should I start off?

I only watched Ponyo with my parents as a kid. Cute film but never watched the ending.

Well its not a Ghibli film but I watched his Lupin III movie, and already it had some gorgeous visuals and cool action. Clock towers, assassins, European castles, rings, mysteries. It’s packed.

I guess Lupin III franchise is now on my radar too.

Of course I know this is probably not his magnum opus, it doesnt really have any of those deep themes I heard he has. But this was a real fun ride.

Also if anyone makes art, make more pony art of Lupin III! Theres only three images here.

I’m over halfway through watching Fullmetal Alchemist Brotherhood

So in this anime’s universe, Nintendo was bought out by Sony.

i choose best a character her is maomao the apothecary diaries. the china apothecary establishes that she obtained this knowledge through her interest in experimenting with various poisons and detectives.

Don’t watch Ghibli films on an empty stomach. It’s almost like a Miyazaki Mukbang.

Just got back from watching the Boy and the Heron in the theater, and I think it might be my new favorite Ghibli film now. I’d probably rank it between Arrietty and Howl’s Moving Castle, it was an emotional journey filled with everything you would want from a Miyazaki production. The dub was really good, they brought in Willem Defoe, Mark Hamill, and Robert Pattinson.
I really hope more people go to see this cause this year has been a real lackluster at the box office, we need more films like this (traditional animation, but also good story and themes).

I just saw the second episode of “Naruto”.

Then again, I had the episode playing on my iPad while I was picking weeds off my island in “New Horizons” so I think I missed the most important context (in between me looking up at the TV and at my iPad).

The context is that Naruto is trying to pass his transformation exam, again, and instead blows it to troll Iruma.

I did remember seeing a small portion of the episode when it aired on Cartoon Network in the early 2000s.
