This was quite a unique entry in Disney’s library.  
 
Ichabod Crane was one of my favorites when I was little.

I hear the obscure “Mr. Boogedy,” and “Something Wicked This Way Comes” are good Halloween fair too.

I’ve finally binged on all 30 “Treehouse of Horror” episodes on Disney+!

Not really, no. I did have a bizarre nightmare as a consequence since some of the segments involved destroying the world or universe.

Admittedly, seeing the “end of the world” in cartoons, and stuff disburbed me a li’l when I was younger.

Nice! Did you have fun with them? Apparently, the later episodes aren’t safe from being shat on for being “zombie Simpsons” as well. Not to say that they didn’t have their share of lackluster segments.

You mean I’m not the only one who is scared of those?! The Treehouse of Horror version of the Gracie Films jingle is one of the scariest themes of all time and the scariest thing to come from those episodes.

They never bothered me, but I’m used to Halloween stuff. (Though, not a huge horror fan.)

The other variants like the Peanuts one, the Phillip Glass one, the one with the “one of us” bit, the Homerzilla, Regis Philbin’s My Eyes, My Beautiful Eyes! (Rest in Peace, Regis) and the one without the scream with the organ pipe minor key (as seen in THOH 2)? They’re fine tho.

I haven’t listened to the jingle since 2003 (I think?) but it shows how braver you are than I am.

The Gracie Films variants from the Treehouse of Horror episodes that I have experience with are 9, 11, and 13 so I’ve heard the “MY EYES!” voice clip but wasn’t truly scared of the jingle till I watched 11.

Does Simpsons really count as Disney?

I remember back when Disney owned D.i.C., and used to show many of their cartoons including the “Adventures of Sonic the Hedgehog” on “Toon Disney.” (DHX owns D.i.C. now.)
 
I actually miss “Toon Disney,” the new version “Disney XD” just isn’t the same.

I’m not really a Disney enthusiast but since I browsed this thread out of curiosity and just happened to see The Simpsons being brought up, I just had to post meaning sigh yeah they do count. Disney acting like they’ll eventually own the world is still something I’m against.

I’ll remember Disney’s brief ownership of DIC through their two Inspector Gadget movies.

Granted, Disney owning Marvel has actually benefited Marvel somewhat as they’ve gone bankrupt before, so Disney ensures they’ll always get funding. So some buy-outs are welcome.
 
But yeah, Disney shouldn’t own everything. That’d be too weird.

I loved Inspector Gadget as a kid, so I remember those too, even if they were mediocre/odd movies even for Gadget.
 
Oddly, the video sequel was a li’l more true to the original cartoon. (Gadget & Penny’s personalities were more like the original, the Mad Agents “of the week” being employed by Dr. Claw were characters from the actual cartoon, and his face always being hidden, and such.)

I’ve never followed Marvel that much so I wouldn’t know that Disney funding them would be better in the end but stuff like buying the Star Wars franchise hasn’t done much good for Disney and Star Wars in general.
 
So many people like making jokes about wanting to see Disney brought down to their knees.

I know. But these jokes are usually out of protest towards Disney’s current business practices which are very disliked as of now.

I understand, though frankly they’re not the only company that buys off others.  
In fact, Warner Brothers owns DC Comics, (therefore owning Superman, Batman, ect.) as well as the Mortal Kombat franchise, and Midway’s classic games in general. Microsoft owns alot of stuff too.

I’m still surprised that Warner Bros now owns the Mortal Kombat franchise. And I did hear about Microsoft buying Bethesda.

Rogue One was the best Star Wars movie.
