A lot of people do travel to Anchorage to shop at least once per year.

I guess the reason why Anchorage looks more developed is because of it’s proximity to the oil fields of the Alaska North and the military bases situated nearby.

I heard hardtacks are a staple specialty in Alaska.

Idk, like I said, the big box stores import everything. People really seem to like Ritz crackers here. Honestly, I think they’re a bland version of these:

I know it’s bad for me. But I LOVE grain products.
 
I don’t see that brand of crackers here in Canada.

I like ‘em too, don’t worry. I do limit myself, though. I don’t wanna gain weight, not after losing so much. It’s not like I torment myself or anything, I just take everything in moderation and often opt for fruits or tea when I’m craving something at a bad time.

I figured as much. But I’m no prehistoric humanoid, I drink avocado/cherry/chocolate smoothies.

Let us remember those who had to pretty much go to war against animals almost constantly to get food. Some never returned from hunting trips.
 
Speaking of Avocado. I like Guacamole dips. Avocado seems to be a great alternative to milk-based spreads.

I love avocado, it works really well in salads too. Today I happened to have some avocado salad. It was a pretty easy recipe:  
2 avocados, pitted and diced  
1 large diced tomato (removed the goop and seeds and put that in a Ziploc bag for later)  
1/2 of a huge sweet onion, chopped  
1 diced green bell pepper  
1 squeezed lime  
some chopped fresh cilantro (aka. coriander, I used an ulu for that)  
some salt and black pepper

Korean Pears I love these fruits. In East Asia, it is fashionable and thoughtful to give people these pears as gifts as the pears are labor intensive to grow.

As I was cutting the avocado, I decided I wanted chocolate mousse instead. The recipe isn’t that much different, so I did that.
