ON THIS DAY: Tony Ferguson pulled out of superfight with Khabib on UFC 223 due to torn ligament injury and Max Holloway would step in BUT, days later would unfortunately be medically unfit to fight. At the last hours before the fight, Al Iaquinta would be the one to actually fight Khabib.

I still remember Dana’s head wasn’t in the right place during that event because of Conor McGregor attacking the bus Khabib was in during the UFC 223 pressers, then add Tony pulling out and Holloway being unfit to fight.
