The last episode I finished was when they crossed some kind of mountain to escort a pregnant woman and her husband while on their way to Ba Sing Se and avoid getting eaten by a serpent…oh, and Zuko helps the a-holes from a while ago rob a captain’s food.

I’m very satisfied of how The Owl House is going so far. In my Opinion this series is hitting all the right notes (well aside the ending of the A Plot of Senses and Insensitivity, that was bullshit and annoyed me, but whatever), but I really hope it manages to stay this strong until the very end. I might have already said it in past, but this is currently the only thing in terms of entertainment that I’m following with a passionated interest. The other shows I’ve been following with the same interest, My Little Pony, Steven Universe, Tangled and She-Ra have all ended their runs, and Miraculous turned out to be such a gigantic waste of time. There are actually other shows I’m following, but with a way more relative interest (I have to yet start watching Amphibia thought, but time to time). Even on terms of videogames (I know this is unrelated to this topic but I wanted to address it regardless) the situation isn’t any better: I was looking forward to some indie games, like Freedom Planet 2 and the Cuphead DLC, but they’re taking so long to release that eventually I stopped caring about them (and then there is Crash Bandicoot 4, game that I would love to play a lot, but I can’t get excited about it until I am sure it’s coming to Steam). I don’t care for any other modern game, let alone the Next Gen. Also I look to movies, animated or not, with extreme indifference lately.
 
As of now, when it comes to general entertainment, The Owl House is the only thing that it’s giving me a lot of satisfaction (actually there would be The Dragon Prince as well but… it’s on hiatus since such a long time, and even thought all the season the creator wanted to make have been commissioned, the S4 is currently still in pre-production, so it will still take a REEEEEEEALLY long time to release, so I’m not thinking about it so much lately…). I just hope that, when the time comes, the creators manage to give it the satisfying send-off it deserves.

Now if only Disney+ had the Little Mermaid & Aladdin TV shows. I know some like to badmouth movie-cartoon adaptations, but those were actually very good. (And Tim Curry is even a recurring villain.)

Helped that almost every single movie voice actor was in it. (I’ll even admit Dan “Homor Simpson” wasn’t a bad Genie replacement.)  
I admit I’m a sucker for Iago & Gilbert Gottfried especially. (I still don’t get why it never got a DVD release, or anything.)
 
I also liked how Jason Alexander was one of the recurring villains, Abis Maul who was basically his George Castanza character from “Seinfeld.”

I recall, didn’t back in the late ‘80s, or early ‘90s (whenever it came out, I dunno) didn’t Trek fans flip out in anger over the “The Next Generation?” Though, nowadays that’s considered as much of a classic as the original show is, but even back then, nerds raged over anything new, or redone.

I feel disappointed for myself for never watched the recent new TMNT.

The 2012 Nick reboot was pretty good, and brought back many characters the 2003 era ignored.
 
As for the new “Rise Of” series, fans are pretty divided, as it’s kinda goofier, (even for TMNT standards) and from what I saw, I was kinda disapointed, but I hear it’s getting better now, so I might give it another chance.
 
Still kinda bugs me Raph is the leader, and Splinter is kinda a couch potato.

I started watching the series back in June after procrastinating on watching it. I wish I did so sooner.
 
Rise was a fun adaptation. It’s not a perfect TMNT series, but it had a lot heart and passion going for it with the animation, character designs, voice acting, and etc. I wish more of the older fans gave this series a second chance instead of turning their noses away just because it was a different departure from the previous series. They really missed out on a good gem.
 
I very much despise how Nickelodeon treated the series and how they cut down the episode count for Season 2 in half, cancelling it. I have more to say but I need to watch the finale in full.

Nick kinda neglected the 2012 series too in it’s later seasons, kept bumping it’s schedule to inconvenient times, barely rerunning it so fans would get behind in it’s canon, barely advertising it, and such…
 
Nick honestly neglects alot of it’s shows that aren’t like the top 3. (SpongeBob, Loud House, and Generic tween sitcom.)

I thought it was a little weird too but it’s not that big of a deal. Raph starts off as the self-appointed leader because he’s older and tries to act responsible. Leo, on the other hand, shows off qualities in being a leader as the series goes on but he doesn’t want the role and just wants to enjoy life. Funny thing, in the series finale Splinter basically appoints Leo as the leader much to his surprise.
 
Splinter, well he was least favorite character in the beginning, but there’s more to him than meets the eye. You can’t help but sympathize with him once you realize what he’s been through. He’s much more flawed than previous incarnations, but he tries to be a good father/sensei to his boys.
 
The thing about Rise is that it’s kind of a prequel. We’re literally watching the Rise of the turtles as they start off as inexperienced fighters and watch them grow into the team we know and love.

Well, I am certainly pleased with the newest episode of Owl House.
