Has anyone watched FIM’s sister shows on The Hub like Pound Puppies or Littlest Pet Shop? They’ve been forgotten compared to the likes of FIM and definitely ended sooner but did you like them or were meh on them?

I guess to answer question people usually talk about Nick for its cartoons and Nick didn’t become a cartoon juggernaut it seems till the early 90s

From 1981 to 1984, Nickelodeon used a silver ball for its logo.

Not even me. Hell, I was born exactly one year and two months before they started airing Nicktoons (and it would be another two years after that when Nickelodeon began broadcasting in my country).

South part has confirmed they will not be talking about the election Because they don’t think there’s much to say about trump anyway.

I have a feeling it’s less becuase they don’t have any commentary on Trump, and more becuase they don’t want to risk another repeat of “Aw Geez” where they were REALLY banking on one side to win only for the other side to win instead

Trump jokes are getting kinda old anyway, and it’s always the same “He’s Hitler!” Schtick. And both prez candidates deserve satire, criticism, and parody, not just one or the other honestly.

Even Simpsons mocked Clinton and Dole well in the 90s. People can’t seem to do good political humor now, besides, “The other side is Hitler!”

Trump I think has just lost the intrigue that he had before.

Before it was shocking that someone like him could even actually be president. And whether loved him or hated him or even just observed, it was a sight to behold. Now he’s almost as commonplace as air or water.

I think 2016 and 2020 were such chaotic years, it kind of makes 2024 look kind of played out.

Trump also is getting older and I think hes less bombastic than before. It’s less interesting to talk about him.

If South Park did an epeisode on 2024 election, it would just be a more boring version of other years. I think they want to move on to other less played out material.

The thing about political humor is that it dates quickly and almost always ages poorly. WWII cartoons mocked the Nazis and the Japanese to hell and back. With their extensive record of atrocities now largely public knowledge, a lot of those playful jabs come off as cringeworthy now, especially if your family was a victim(s) of said atrocities.
