I don’t mind getting my argument getting countered here but sometimes I wonder why do people even bother giving Disney attention?
They’re clearly in a spot where they give fuck all towards quality and they’re too focused on their current mission on wanting to conquer the world.

They’re more or less the reason animation is a prominent medium in the first place.
It’s like talking about professional wrestling and inevitably bringing up Hulk Hogan. He’s one of the worst people on the planet, and yet he’s the reason pro wrestling became the industry it is today.

Mostly because they’re the biggest in the world regarding animation next to anime, They fore fathered many of the principals of animation, and their films are one of the reasons the medium is as big it is today.

Their influence on the entire medium is incalculable.

I agree and I know that. But I’m mainly going by Disney today. My problem is that the cynical corporate side of Disney is too distracting for me to care about their current products and I’m just like, how do you put up with it?

Now you know how I feel as a WB cartoon fan :/

And we’ve had to put up with their shit for decades.

Whenever I hear someone talk about the newest bad thing that’s related to Disney and their associates, I’m just like “Why are you shocked about it? They clearly don’t care anymore with all the money they have!”
I don’t know why my mentality can’t look away from the cynical corporate side of Disney when I see people say that they are still putting out good shows.

So, uh, DC Super Hero Girls is no longer available to purchase on iTunes, Amazon and YouTube. It’s on Netflix (S1 only) but who knows for how long.

I swear if Zaslav wrote off the damn thing for taxes….

Sheesh. Lauren Faust has been trying to get her show off the ground for years and when she finally does it still faces issues.

Let’s see…

-Created MLP FIM, then left during the second season becuase she didn’t like what HAsbro wanted to do to the show

-Milky Way and the Galaxy Girls cartoon got fucked over

-Same with her Medusa movie

-Finally gets to make her own cartoon about the DC Universe, only for WB to barely advertise it after the first half of season 1, cuts season 2 short and ends it on a cliffhanger, then ends up cancelling the show all together without even telling her (or anyone) about it

I think the animation industry just has it out for her

Adult Swim got hit quite bad in the WBD layoffs today.

Ollie Green, VP of Animation at Adult Swim and executive producer of Rick & Morty, was let go, as was longtime AS employee Ned Hastings.
