He didn’t just chase Darkwing with a chainsaw. He chased EVERYONE with a chainsaw. It was his preferred melee weapon.

I started watching the M.O.D.O.K. cartoon and it’s really good.

Dude, if this is meant to be some kind of gotcha that all modern cartoons are the same–considering that The Dragon Prince was on that list–then you may as well include Avatar on that list as well, because it had many of those similar characters.
 
Of course shows use similar tropes. They always have. What you’re complaining about is nothing new.
