Considering that they brought Genndy back and signed a contract deal with him, it'd be in poor taste to just shelve his series off the bat. So, it might be safe for now. All people can do is just support the show legally (Watch it on Max), spread the word, and etc.
As for the series itself, Genndy said he had enough ideas for 4 seasons. So, we'll have to see how well the first one does. The ratings it's gotten for Saturday re-airings on Toonami have been okay/decent.

Don't remind me. I still hate how they cut it off right when the creator was pitching for a way to end the series properly for fans. The only good thing is he got a license to end it in a graphic novel, but he can't even sell it on Amazon or other platforms.
