I understand some posts deleted are two weeks old but please do not start witch hunts against certain users, intentional or not.

It seems that Imalou is unfortunately being harassed by the worst of both sides of Twitter recently.

TLDR on the situation:

Imalou recently went on vacation to Italy and met up with AnonTheAnon (AKA the guy who made the infamous Applejack plantation image), and people messaged her about how AtA is racist (someting which she didn’t know about at the time of meeting him), and soon other people tried to “Expose” her by brining up all the old 4chan/aryane pics they made (Pics that by their own admition, they hate now and regret making in the first place).

Imalou suddenly gets alarge influx of messages/comments and they start to block a lot of people and come out and say that they do ot want to be associated with AtA after learning more about him and deleted the picture and that the recent wave of comments/messages have been taken a really bad toll on her meantal health and she ended up deleting their comments after.

And now they made a post denouncing the far-right/racist members of the fandom and will be blocking any more of those members they see.

So the have been dealing with left leaning members trying to “cancel”/“expose” them for guilt be association and art they done years ago that they admitted to regrettng doing, and the far-right members are getting butthurt becuase someone who i an ethnic and sexual minority who is horse famous is posting “nazis fuck off”

I feel really bad for them, they do not deserve to go through this

I always did wonder where Aryanne even came from all those years ago. Never knew the creator basically disowned her.

I was never offended by the whole thing personally, but I’m not going to say it wasn’t foolish and stupid to create Aryanne in the first place. Because it was. And while it’s good to see that the creator isn’t the scum everyone assumed, Aryanne is still part of their legacy and something they’re just going to have to learn to live with, consequences and all.

Iamlou is definitely not the creator of Aryanne. I’m not sure anyone really knows who is, though the person that popularized her through porn was Randy.

Iamlou almost a decade ago drew an image of the character, back in the era when it was known to most as an edgy 4chan joke.

It wasn’t until some years later that a certain part of the fandom would go from “ironic racism” to just “outright racism”, with people like AnonTheAnon (and a fair amount of other popular artists) either not caring at all about the crowd of racists and far rightists they were serving, or just being a happy part of it.

There have been a lot of artists that in the last few years have realized that some of the “edgy” stuff they drew for 4chan as a way to “fit in” and “make friends” was made for people that weren’t “edgy” but just full on racists and homophobes using “free speech” and “edgy comedy” as a shield and dog whistle.

And now I’m excited to hear from the usuals about how 4chan is actually cool and everything bad that’s ever happened is only because of Twitter and those meddling liberals hating fun.

If only social media would quit being mental asylums for the insufferable low self esteem self righteous “moralists” who have been plaguing society for far too long. It seems to be the case for those who subscribe to extremist politics. A good chunk of them are all mentally ill to a certain degree. The fact we as a normally functioning part of society have to constantly bear with this shit is a testament to the failure of the mental health system.
