I was always the reserved one. No parties, drinking, get togethers, etc. Had the same two friends for my whole life. Was hard to trust new people, too many just wanted to be “friends” for my money.

I’m probably gonna sound like a boomer saying this, but I’m genuinely worried about one of my little cousins. I was in a Thanksgiving gathering and my little cousin, who’s 10 years old, was decked out in full E-Girl wear such as dyed hair ala Billie Eilish and blasting music like Vaporwave or Tik Tok like trap. This is a girl who has spent WAY too much time on social media and it’s starting to influencing her young impressionable mind to follow trends and the zeitgeist and probably dissuade her from forming her own opinions and ideas in favor of listening to others. It’s warping her mind and it genuinely worries me.
Maybe she needs a role model.

But then again, we when we were kids were about the same glued to our TV’s watching cartoons and stuck on video game consoles so it’s probably just times changing and new technology coming in. Pretty sure when they get around our age or older, they’ll complain about the next generation being stuck on VR headsets or playing on virtual simulator games all the time.

I’ve done that, done zip lines, stuff like that. But that ain’t my real stories.
My real stories involve dancing in an underground pub in Sweden, setting a barn on fire with the owner and some friends, fucking a cute country girl out on a back road with her half out a pickup truck, or illegally climbing a mount side made of marble boulders and screaming at the top of my lungs in victory as park rangers chased me for half a county.
I’ve done that, done zip lines, stuff like that. But that ain’t my real stories.
