The biggest thing that keeps me from encouraging vigilantism is that I don’t trust most people to find/target the actual guilty party, to not cause needless collateral damage, to not catch innocent people in the crossfire, or to just plain not screw up like an incompetent bunch of chucklefucks.

Two Hololivers are apparently being suspended for 3 weeks by their parent company for what essentially is nothing. All because they simply read out something YouTube’s analytics happen to display the “T” word when people from said country donated to their streams. Apparently some Chinese “fans” (who are ironically on YT which is banned in China) didnt like that. Just for saying “thank you” to individuals based in that country we should not name to not incur the wrath of Winnie the Pooh…

I can understand unintentional cases where they have little to no control of their situation.
But most of the ones ive raged about are those that willfully chug the Koolaid and involve themselves in divisive shit they shouldnt be in. Often times they know nothing about. Virtue signalers parroting one another like cultists.
