Apparently the department hired someone to give training and that’s the hold he taught them. That’s why the other cops just watched because they thought nothing was wrong, they were following their training.
Still doesn’t excuse continuing to hold pressure for over 2 minutes after the man became unresponsive.

An artery must have been pinched shut and was exacerbated by underlying medical conditions. There’s a good chance these cops won’t even be convicted of manslaughter. If these cops followed policy, no matter how shitty that policy is, they’ll probably just get a negligence resulting in death charge.
