> So I accepted a "conditional offer" for a job from a retail merchandiser and am trying to do the paperwork. But I have to send an email to somebody I know in person to help me complete Section 2 of the I-9 form (a task normally reserved for HR and management.) Is this shit even legal, I mean my (possibly) new boss pawning a task on a family member or friend?

I heard back from the onboarding specialist. Apparently, this shady-seeming shit is standard practice for "remote" positions.

I'll be stocking and setting up displays at retail stores. This doesn't seem like a "remote" job.

EDIT: I withdrew from their onboarding process. It's a piece of shit part-time job, anyways, and the onboarding specialist is an insufferable cunt.
