It doesn't, but unfortunately some are trying to make it a "partisan" issue.
 
Some people, and even the movie's makers themselves are trying to say, it's _*"only crazy, bigiot, sexist, right-wingers whom oppose the movie,"_* ignoring the fact actually LOTS of liberals and Democrats are against it too, and are all, _*"Oh no! You guys don't speak for us!"_

So no, the political shield they're trying to use isn't going to work.
