Honestly, I think they got Zeus and Hades switched around. Hades was the chill one by comparison. Zeus had no chill; he’d turn into a swan and bang your daughter when you weren’t looking.

The problem with the romance story in Sonic 06 isn’t necessarily because of the human-anthro relationship. It’s because the art direction it’s a mess. The Sonic characters have very stilish cartoonish designs, but at the same time, the world has realistic human beings, which doesn’t match with the style of a Sonic game.
 
Because of that, the second problem (the forced romance story) is conceptually even worse. If this was a Rober Rabbit world (with Toontown and the real world), the story would have worked thanks to the contextual aspect of the game. But Sonic 06 doesn’t have an interesting story or appealing designs.
 

 
I’m not a fan of furry content, but even the film Wolf Children worked because it had appeal. And this is coming from a person who doesn’t like anime.

i am in no way saying it was a great game but i’ll agree it’s far from the worst.
 
a few years ago, i sat for hours watching all the cutscenes from Sonic to the last one & while the story of it is kind of all over the place, it’s kind of not that bad (even if you have to think about it more than you’d normally have to), not sure how else to describe it.

Then oh boy you’re gonna like Super Mario Odyssey then since that’s another game that juxtaposes characters with cartoonish appearances like Mario right next to realistically proportioned humans

I still can’t get over how 90% of the game is a cartoony art style then there is a T-Rex in it that looks straight out of Jurassic Park XD

Complex button inputs in fighting games REALLY shouldn’t be a standard thing.
 
I’m specifically talking about ones like the pretzel s### that’s common in SNK games, Guile’s super move in Street Fighter 4, and that one finger-breaking move in Dead or Alive.
