He was LITERALLY stealing other people’s voices via A.I., something that can lead to voice actors losing jobs in the long haul.

Calling him out for doing that isn’t limiting creativity. It’s having a goddamn conscience.

gonna toss my hat in on this ai art thing and say that like maybe 1 in 600 are of any good.
like if it was good maaaaaaaaaaaaaay? you’d have some leg to stand on but they still suck and all look the same.

AI tools are exactly that, a tool, not a replacement. VAs make it very clear why they dislike AI recreations of their voices beyond threatening their jobs, people can use the to just say the absolute worst things that they never said. It goes beyond impressions, it’s just stealing their voice. Just the idea that people want to replace voice actors with AI is incredibly dystopian

I get it you probably can’t afford professional voice actors, but just use fan voices or use your own at that point

A not insignificant amount of people use or want to use AI for shitty purposes instead of as a tool.

I mean, forged records and false claims aren’t anything new, sadly. AI is a tool that people can use to this purpose with relative ease.

Exactly. In addition to it being completely and utterly soulless, the idea of A.I. being used to make voice actors and artists obsolete is enough to permanently turn me off the idea.

At that point, you aren’t playing with a “fun” tool. You’re actively fucking with people’s lives. And no, the Scooby-Doo stop-motion guy doesn’t get a pass just because “iT’s A fAn PrOjEcT.”

Yea, I don’t get offended at the word “content” unlike anyone else who does nowadays.

Because it’s just content, a collection of media for platforms that has TV shows, movies, etc.
