Funny thing: You’re actually closer than you might assume. The main character, Winslow, gets disfigured and is presumed dead as part of a plot by record executive Swan to steal his music. When he returns as the Phantom, he signs a contract with Swan, bound in blood, to produce his music–and Swan himself is working with Satan.
