I personally don’t have a problem with bringing back old characters, as long as it’s done respectfully. That’s the problem the Star Wars sequel trilogy suffered from was not properly handling the legacy characters.
Dominion in my opinion did well to stay true to Dr. Grant, Sattler, and Malcolm, they also made sure to actually have all 3 of them meet up with each other to reconnect after all those years.

Honestly it could be. I feel like the result of that premise is by putting both versions of the Smurfs movies and the original work into ChatGPT.

Taking another look at the Trailer It does look like the smurfs will be the main focus in not some human celebrity.

I still prefer Sonic 3 personally. Just because something has higher sales doesn’t mean it’s better.

Also, didn’t help Sonic 3 failed in Japan. People are oftentimes shocked to find out Sonic is unpopular in Japan. (So much, that the anime “Sonic X” didn’t even full air on TV there.)

Box office results have a tendency to only mean things if they say what people want them to.

Asia in general doesn’t care much about the Sonic franchise. It has a wider appeal in Oceania and the Western countries.

I’m not sure if Paramount will do it, but “Sonic 4” should probably take place in Brazil or one of the Latin American countries since the Sonic franchise is very popular over there. That way, it’ll make a ton of money in those countries.

I remember an interviewer showed Japanese passerbys pictures of game characters and asked them if they knew who they were.

They all knew who Super Mario was, but when shown a picture of Sonic (and Classic Sonic at that) nobody knew whom he was.

Not really, especially with all the more adult animes, and adult gamers in Japan.
Ironically, though mature/violent shooting games aren’t very popular with older Japanese gamers. Schmups and bullet-hell games are more popular.

I hear animal characters like Sonic, Fox McCloud, Crash Bandicoot, etc. are more popular with children in Japan, so animal game/anime characters aren’t very popular there.

Surprisingly Ninja Turtles was popular there, but they preferred the old sillier show over the 2003 one, and such.

So from what i saw in the main DC comics continuity, Batman is apparently in a relationship with Joe Chill’s daughter. The same Joe Chill who murdered his parents.

Can someone please tell me what the fuck the people in DC editorial are smoking???

I mean DC made a big deal about Bruce and Catwoman getting married years a few years ago only for them to go “lol nope” and have Batman ditch her at the alter because “Us being together would ruin our lives” and some BS involving the Flashpoint version of Thomas Wayne/Batman.

I’m starting to think it’s an unofficial rule with Batman/Spider-Man that they can never actually move on as characters and actually commit to a relationship

Man it’s a good thing I’m only trying to keep up with the Batman comics whenever the Batfamily gets together. At least the various Robins and Batgirls were allowed to grow up and still bounce off each other well.

Honestly I never thought Batman and Catwoman could work, because they’re from two completely different worlds. I also don’t think Bruce would be able to hold on to a relationship because he is pretty much married to the mission. I guess at least he’s not cucked.

Although yeah, it is pretty fucked up to hook him up with Chill’s daughter. It’s like when Bruce Timm constantly wants to hook him up with Batgirl. Dunno which one is worse.
