Spider-verse will only be in theaters near the end of the month in my country and I still haven’t seen it while everyone else has. That’s not fair!

Couldn’t Kamala have shapeshifted into a buff 180+ lbs 10% body fat Mary Jane with the muscle composition of veteran spec ops assassin, so that way she could lure the demon AND put up a goddamn decent fight against it?

Btw I absolutely blame Kurokami for giving me a taste for Ryona. I was still discovering my niche and then a friend suggested I be watching Kurokami for the fight scenes. And then I see the titular character Kuro getting brutally JUMPED and they just don’t let up. They just keep beating the crap outta Kuro and they make sure to animate it nicely.

Like, this isn’t cute jumping either–Kuro gets blindsided with a steel baseball bat right in the face as she’s eating ramen, then gets whacked a couple more times before getting picked up by the head and slammed into a car window. The sound, the movement, them impacts felt like it hurts goddamn!

She gets jumped every two to three episodes. And they be taking their sweet ass time throwing hands. One time she gets restrained before she gets motorcycle tires to the face. THREE motorcycles take turns tryna make her a road kill.

I hate you Kurokami.

The reviews for The Flash are starting to trickle out with the embargo now lifted.

Mostly favorable, though much more mixed than what DC Twitter has been hyping. Currently 72% on RT based on 58 reviews.

For perspective, Wonder Woman and Shazam! have higher scores.

The good doctor is not afraid to ice a bitch.

Man. John Romita Jr’s artwork is always just so odd looking.

Yeah Spiderverse was really good. Only real gripe is that it suffers from middle-of-the-trilogy syndrome.

RT score for The Flash has improved a bit. Now at 74% based on 68 reviews.

Still, I can’t imagine this was the kind of reception WB was hoping for with a movie that’s supposed to be a hard reset for the DCEU (not to mention with a higher marketing budget than The Amazing Spider-Man). Not a good look when the RT score is above Aquaman but below Wonder Woman, Shazam! and the The Suicide Squad (not that shit David Ayer crapped out).

And that’s still not getting into the Ezra Miller situation. All it takes is one more incident or criminal indictment and everything goes to shit, especially since WB has publicly defended them on record despite the atrocities they may have committed.
