yeah looking back this movie has a lot of really dumb/questionable things

Well, it was directed by Joss Wheden. Dude seems to have been on the downturn since Buffy ended.

I still can’t get over Justice League.

I scoffed at the thought of the Snyder Cut, only for it to come out and it turns out that literally everything wrong about the original edition was a Wheden addition. Remove his contributions and the film went from “thoroughly meh” to “Kinda decent”.

I mean, to be fair, most of those dumb changes were on WB wanting to keep the film from being as dark as BvS.

The Wonder Woman fanservice scenes, though? Definitely Wheden.

I remember back when the internet considered Joss Wheden to be one of the “kings” of “nerdom” and everytime he was announced as part of something everyone would be excited about it

Now everyone eonly sees him as an untalented hack who got lucky when it comes to his works, and an outright horrible, shitty person outside of his work.

It’s a shame too. I’ve been interested in checking Buffy the Vampire Slayer out for the longest time, but everything going on with Joss has made me question the thought.

Gal Gadot actually didn’t want to do scene of Flash accidently running into her and landing on her boobs IIRC becuase she found it to be pretty creepy and really jarring tone wise, but Wheden basically pulled the “im the boss, deal with it” crd and made her do it anyway.

If it helps, you can consider watching it as a means to support the cast and crew involved with it, not Wheden

Ja. Like that scene where Flash fall into WW breasts. Gal Gadot refused to do the scene and wanted it cut, but Whedon instead got a stunt double.

And all it cost was the tension of the big climactic fight and, as we saw in the Snyder Cut, Flash’s big Speed Force scene where he literally changed the outcome of the fight to save the day.

Edit:somewhat ninja’d. It was a stunt double tho.

Yeah, that’s the big one I was thinking about. It’s one thing when it’s in anime. It’s another thing entirely when it’s done with real people.

Apparently Sony is cutting a deal with Bungie.

Now, this isn’t as big as the Acti-Blizz deal that Microsoft made but it’s interesting to see Bungie possibly working solely under Sony.
