But honestly, the fact that they’re doing this now, after Bowie’s death, is confusing to me… like, how will they even pull it off? Maybe if it were a hard reboot, I could see it, but a sequel? They’d better have a damn good reason for replacing the late, great David Bowie with someone inferior.

I’m already seeing some people try to defend this and say I’m not a real fan for disagreeing, but, like… I don’t see how they could make it work unless they literally resurrected David Bowie from the dead. Because who the hell could do the role justice? It would be like trying to make a Purple Rain sequel without Prince.

I can’t really see a new “Labyrinth” without Bowe, but I wouldn’t mind a sequel. I guess they’ll have to do it without the Goblin King.

That reminds me I still need to watch Labyrinth also finished the Dark Crystal and age of resistance.

How is Age of Resistance, BTW? I’ve heard mixed things about it.

There’s also a manga sequel to Labyrinth called “Return to Labyrinth”. And I mean an ACTUAL manga, not “let’s call this American-written, American-drawn comic a manga because it’s drawn in a pseudoanime style and reads right-to-left”. (Why yes, this is a jab at the current MLP “manga”)

The main thing I remember about The Dark Crystal is that it really scared me as a kid. I revisited it when I was a teenager, and even now I can totally see why.

It isn’t though. There was, however, an ACTUAL MLP manga created in Japan by the same folks who did the Zelda manga adaptations.

Also, y’know there’s some Japanese comics that look American style’d, as well. The F-Zero SNES instruction manual comic is one. So they copy our style, as well.
