So, it looks like the WB owned TV networks have seen a bit of a revamp.
No major rebrands, but there are some slight changes that bring them in line with how Discovery operates their channels, and while most of them are minor, there is good news and bad news.
-The Discovery content ratings bug is now being used across the networks. It’s actually an upgrade compared to the ones TBS and TNT have been using.
-Channel logos now come in much earlier than they did before.
-Cartoon Network and Boomerang now play their credit sequences in full. No more squeezing them, or playing them alongside the episodes themselves (like Nick). I didn’t expect that, but I’ll gladly take it. Adult Swim still squeezes the credits for the Fox shows though, so it clearly isn’t a universal thing.
-Unrestored 4:3 shows like Dexter or Courage are no longer stretched to 16:9. Now they’re cropped to 14:9, which somehow makes them look worse than before (despite the image no longer being distored). King of the Hill is still in 4:3, since the masters they were given have the black bars burned in, which allowed them to bypass the Turner stretch in the past.
@Penguin Dragneel
I wouldn’t be surprised if Disney did the same to all their networks, with the Freeform ratings.

They look like 4:3 television screens from the 50s.

The last gasp of an awards ceremony that’s trying to stay relevant.
Drew this. Karakuri burst featuring Chirin from Ringing Bell and Vitani from Lion King 2.
Rumors going around that parts of Sonic 3 will take place in Westopolis.
WB TV Network (specifically Adult Swim) updates:
Ok, so I guess the tapes they have for Ed, Edd n’ Eddy were stretched to begin with, because the episode that aired tonight was in Flexview, as opposed to being cropped to 14:9.
They also aired a Season 6 episode of Billy and Mandy in proper HD for the first time ever. It was cropped to 4:3 in all its previous US airings, so that’s nice to see. The intro was fucked beyond belief though (stretched to 16:9, alongside being letterbox AND pillarboxed).
Yeah, I dunno what the fuck they were thinking when they made these masters to begin with.
Because for some reason everything needs to be in widescreen, regardless of how much it fucks the picture.
Now you know why Paramount hard-coded the black bars on the Star Trek: TOS and TNG Blu-ray sets.
wonder how the paper mario ttyd remake will handle viv.
I did a thing at a Barnes & Noble.
Oh look, I actually picked up a non-Viz/Kodansha book. Betcha didn’t see that coming?

@Cosmas-the-Explorer
The top bandit is actually her bodyguard, who she barely tolerates at first.
