Yes it was abused.

I mean, it’s not like Warner had much of a choice in the matter. The previous owner, AT&T, wasn’t doing so hot trying to be an entertainment company and doing telecoms at the same time. That’s why they spun it off to Discovery so they can relieve the debt they had.

Edit: It’s just no one expected the merger would start off as bad as the previous one.

Not to mention AT&T hated anime. If they didn’t, they wouldn’t sell Crunchyroll to the point where Toonami becomes a potential victim to the streaming wars

I wish I would have watched Foster’s Home for Imaginary Kids earlier. I was always out of as a kid because it felt too childish with imaginary friends and maybe a little too abstract looking. Also I was more into Spongebob.

But having watched the first four episodes, I love the comedy and the action. I think I like it even more than PPG.

I love the creative designs. They could seriously be pokemon.

And Lauren Faust seemed to have played a big part in this show’s story.

I have a feeling even more than PPG, this one might have influenced MLP with its action packed Slice of Life and even its 22 minute long episodes.

I wish I would have watched this earlier.

I’d argue it’s starting off miles worse than the previous one. At least AT&T didn’t annihilate over half of what the divisions were working on, or cancel the release of films and TV shows that were FINISHED for tax write-offs.

To play devil’s advocate here, Crunchyroll wasn’t willing to let Toonami air any of their titles, even when they were under WB. They got lucky with Mob Psycho 100 (because of Funimation) and Food Wars seasons 3+4 (because of Sentai), but they’ve stated repeatedly before the merger that any other title that Crunchyroll had the full rights to was off limits.

That being said, selling it to Sony (which already had Funimation and Aniplex under it’s belt) was still a horrible idea.
