I know they were going darker this time but they already had a girl who lost her partner.

I think there was a fan theory that the goth girl was already dead and the director liked it so much he made it canon or something.

Veemon not only makes up two of the members of the RK, but also was the one who found them in the first place. What a Chad. Virgin Agumon had to merge with someone to get it, while Veemon earned at least two seats due to his Chad powers.

I wonder what it would have been like if Adventure 2 had the Digimon Armor Digivole with both Eggs or at the champion level.

Well, Gatomon and Patamon would have gotten shafted…
