I remember when we first put the VHS on and this trailer came up first thing. We fucking lost our shit and went crazy over it, we actually spent more time rewinding that trailer than actually watching the Monster Rancher episodes. Unfortunately I never saw it until I was older and had my first iPod Touch where I watched it on YouTube in separate parts, thankfully now the entire film is up in one video.

There was also a trailer for Nadia and the Secret of Blue Water but me and my sister were more interested in Sonic the Hedgehog

Who didn’t have a toy X-Wing as a kid? I don’t remember the exacted one I had, but the wings opened and it had sounds. It was awesome.

I know. They had them here too.

It’s just that it seems one of these things that are quite popular one moment, then completely vanish the next. Like, after some point, I never heard about K’nex again. Until know, that is.

Remember those glorious single coloured computers that mostly displayed texts?

Those were good times when we kids played hours on games made on floppy disks that were actually floppy. Oregon Trail ftw! Some of these computers survived in schools and libraries in my area up till the early 2000s.

It wasn’t quite something like that (for one, it doesn’t have a monitor and has to be hooked up on a TV), but my father had a ZX Spectrum. I’m too young to remember that, though. I do remember him getting a new computer from someone, so I might remember his transition from Spectrum to PC. Unless it was something else entirely.

Having a ZX Spectrum must have been pretty fancy in the GDR. There were some Soviet clones, but my father had the real deal (I think).
