And the reason western and EU politicians are making laws to target hate speech is to stop these evil monsters, not to “silence conservatives” as the far/alt-right claim.  
But the problem is that western governments are doing it too fast to make a comprehensive law.

So France is looking into banning VPN’s according to what I’ve been hearing recently.

And France has officially delayed it implementation of A17 to 2020  
Legislation expected to be presented in the fall, while hearings begin on it in early 2020, then having it implemented late 2020 I heard, is that correct?

Just to let you know, YouTube’s July policy update actually has nothing to do with A17 or GDPR because on the questions page they said the policy update was not related to the two, I can’t post a link because my device is shitty at that, but I just wanted to let you know.

Oh and it’s being done in Europe for testing because YT said they plan on putting out the same rules worldwide later on according to the “Why are these terms only in certain countries?” part of the FAQ.  
And the clarification for A17 and GDPR are in the “Does this have to do with the European Union Copyright Directive or GDPR?” section.

I didn’t think that Youtube’s Update had anything to do with Article 13 but I guess it’s nice to have confirmation.

Though most of the complaints are towards the termination rules, most likely for getting rid of questionable and controversial users. So it’s most likely over recent backlash worldwide about YouTube and hate speech.

And about that, It’s basically now you get terminated without reason, a stupid rule, Just YouTube being YouTube.

The most going on is Pro-Directive supporters occasionally boasting about how the “STOPACTA2 and SaveYourInternet are just a bunch of misinformed fools”.
