Second Coming of Jesus Thread

Do you guys think Jesus is returning soon? Personally, I do. I think that the coronavirus is a fulfillment of one of the End Times warnings in Revelation.
 
When he does return, what do you guys think will happen? Personally, I do not believe in an eternal Hell, but I do think there will be some place that the evil people go to when he comes back. I don’t think it’ll be about God torturing them, though. It’ll be a torture of their own making because they decided that the only thing that could make them happy on Earth was doing evil actions that hurt other people. Jesus will make it that they can’t hurt anyone besides themselves and they won’t be allowed back to this universe until they’ve cooled off and accepted God’s love.
 
Do you think other universes will be merged with ours when God redeems the cosmos? I think very likely they will be, so we may get to meet Twilight and all her friends soon.
 
Do you think Jesus’s 1000 year reign has happened yet or will that be what starts when he returns? (The Bible says Jesus will reign for 1000 years, then have to battle Satan again before taking over for eternity.) I belive the 1000 years may have already happened, because Jesus has a spiritual kingdom that anyone who follows him can join right now. I think that there’s probably just one more battle against evil to be won.

I used to believe that before I decided to give God a chance and the Holy Spirit entered my life. I respect your position 100%, but I don’t believe it anymore. Don’t worry, though, God won’t punish you for having some differences of opinion. He only cares about how loving and kind you are. So you can follow him even if you’re an Atheist. im an open minded person, but i’ve never had a reason to believe there is more. all evidence points to there being nothing. and it drives me mad. so i just sit here waiting for the day i eventually kill myself. and be done with this joke of a life.

Please don’t do that. I personally don’t see how there could not be more, because I don’t believe that consciousness is a product of the natural world, but rather something that comes from a much higher source that some call God. If Christianity doesn’t do it for you, I’d recommend checking out ideas like Taoism (specifically reading the Tao Te Ching), which talks about these ideas in ways that more scientifically minded people might relate to more. I also love hearing lectures from people like Alan Watts and others.
 
I just read David Bentley Hart’s book That All Should Be Saved, which doesn’t set out to explain that God exists, but instead that all people go to Heaven. I’m planning on checking out his book The Experience of God next and that might be something that I’d recommend, but I can’t tell you until I’ve read it. Another one of his books, Atheist Delusions seems to set out to explain similar things, but I don’t know if the tone is something I’d recommend or not. The title is obviously a reference to The God Delusion, but using it as a title seems harsh because I’d personally make the statement that the God that fundamentalists believe in is so obviously not real that you can hardly blame any Atheists for rejecting all of it. So if you decide to check out either of those books, hopefully he doesn’t come off as a dick in them. The Experience of God is the one that looks more promising to me.
 
I’d also recommend people like GP Walsh and Mooji who do really great meditations that help you actively experience God yourself. You may demy at first that that’s what it is, which is fine, but to me, it’s an experience that surpasses our limited Earthly lives and I simply cannot believe that there isn’t a higher power anymore.
 
No judgment, though, friend. Sorry to hear that you’re unhappy in your life, but I am glad that you’re open minded. Hopefully something I mentioned here points you towards a happier life. My DMs are also open if you wanna chat one-on-one. :)

no judgement either. we’re both allowed to believe what we want. i dont wish ill of you for what you believe. i appreciate that you’re trying to help. but i dont feel any amount of reading is going to change my mind.  
for me i accept that theres nothing. and i choose to one day take my own life. i feel its gonna be sooner rather that later…..  
maybe after im dead i’ll have my answer.

Well, I hope you change your mind about that, friend. I understand that reading on the subject may not convince you of too much, but I’d suggest at least giving meditations from people like GP Walsh, Mooji or someone else a chance. It’s a more directly experienctial thing and could make you feel better even if you don’t attribute the experience to anything beyond this world, it still may make you feel better.
 
I understand life can be really hard, though. If there’s nothing I can say to convince you not to take your life, I will at least say that if you do, I hope you find peace. But I think you can obtain that peace in life. Please at least give them a try. Here’s a really good short one you can start with.
 
But remember, no matter what you decide, you’ll still be loved. I hope you change your mind about this, but the universe will have infinite love for you no matter what. Peace by upon you for all eternity, friend. :)

Just so everyone knows: I’m not a Conservative-type person and never will be. Meaning that I think in another universe in the multiverse, we get to have sex with everypony and other awesome stuff like that!!!!!
 
I just wanted to clarify because it came to my attention that David Bentley Hart may be anti-gay and anti-porn some other stuff like that, apparently. I still think his translation of the Bible is good and that he’s good for other theological argument stuff and stuff too and that some of his political stuff is stuff that I agree with 100%, but also some of it seems like maybe more Conservative and less into awesome stuff involving sex and masturbation than me.
 
So justs to be clear, my liking of anyone for somethings does not mean I agree with them with 100% of everything. The God I worship has taken the form of Rarity and created an alternate multiverse where she sexually abuses me for fun. So just so everyone knows that, that’s my beliefs and what I think is awesomeness and truth!!!!
