Those too, but I went for Greeks, Romans and Egyptians as those are the civilizations we probably have the most information on.
 
Also side note; Pompeii was the greek equivalent of Amsterdam, the place was found to be full of porn, dirty graffiti and ancient dildos. The first thing found when digging up the city was a statue of the god Pan fucking a Goat.

Ancient dildos were pretty prevalent in ancient Greece. The wondrous comedy Lysistrata has some…interesting revelations about Greek culture.
 
Incidentally, I’m sure some evangelical will come in and claim that Pompeii was purged by god due to the information you just imparted upon us.

It’s not the political right I’ve got a problem with, it’s the religious right. You cannot create or operate a functioning modern government on the traditions off a philosophy based entirely on faith. Plus, most self identifying members of the religious right come across as blazing hypocrites. Jesus was a complete communist, and he sure as heck didn’t refuse to heal uninsured leapers. People who try to mix religion and politics always sicken me, but the right trots that card out far more then the left.

I’ve already said my peace on gay marriage, I’m not against it.  
I’m fine with legalizing prostitution and drugs

I’m pretty much against legalizing more drugs as our medical sysems are already having trouble with the drugs people can get legally.

Get rid of religion from politics. And get rid of emotions from the Justice System. Put a limit on how much money people can spend on on a legal case. Introduce logic and rationality.
 
And to hell with ANY form of social/corporate censorship. Individual censorship is fine for personal preference.

Politics? It’s all a game. A game you’ve been tricked into playing by being tricked into thinking you’ve been tricked by not tricking you. All levels are pawns for a great trickery drama that tricks itself and absorbs itself from within and without. You are free by not being free, enslaved by the freedoms projected upon yourself by the trickery you’ve been tricked into being tricked into believing you’ve been tricked.

Why do you think we need to build up our military? We are largely at peace, the middle east hasn’t threatened us for years, and military spending is about 1/4 or 1/3 of our spending. Why would we need to build up our military? Don’t we already have a stockpile of weaponry, including IBM’s and other ranged weaponry?
 
Additionally, homosexual marriage should be every bit as legal as heterosexual marriage, lest it be discrimination on the basis of sexuality. Why shouldn’t people deserve to be happy like anyone else? Including the fact that all arguments should be made with secularity in mind, as not all of us are religious. Your, which is not to mean you specifically, argument that God said that it was wrong or whatever iteration of that argument thereof, does not apply to me, again not referring directly to me, but to people of like-mindedness. Besides religion, what right have we to stand on that homosexual people should not be allowed to marry?
