Understandably enough, as much as that song made Jani Lane and Warrant’s career, he hated the song and believed it destroyed their career as well - To most people, he was just the “Cherry Pie Guy”

Plus, it was towards the end of the album recording cycle and their record label literally called Jani after a party to tell them that they need a radio hit similar to Aerosmith’s “Love In An Elevator”. So if you want to know the true masterminds as to why the band got pigeonholed as the “Cherry Pie band”, it was Columbia Records
When Nickelodeon premiered Power Rangers Samurai, they aired the third episode first. Everyone was very confused.
