The problem with that though is that they don’t like to do horror movies, and while The Thing remake or prequel or whatever it is, is incompetent, it isn’t tits on a bishop insane enough to temp them to do it. Mostly its a dull exercise in pissing off fans of the original.

I vote that we do night of the lepus(Which is a film about killer bunny rabbits. or Wes Craven’s Deadly friend(Which wasn’t even meant to be a horror movie until the executives changed that.)

You guys should totally do ROBO GEISHA or Tokyo Gore Police ne of these fridays.

Depends on which The Thing movie you mean. For me in that case, the original IS the original 1930s version that people dont know about, and consider the 1980 one the original. I was obssessed with that one as a kid.
 
Also, anything by Yoshihiro Nishimura is hilarious as fuck. But he has better than Tokyo Gore Police. This for example…..fuck it. thats on the list.

As for the thing I believe the movie you’re referring to as the original is The Thing From Another World (1951) which was an adaptation of Who Goes There? by John Campbell. The John Carpenter version is my personal favorite though, just because I’m a fiend for really good practical effects.

Um, I don’t know if you take requests for videos to play when the stream is off, but I found this. It might be worth looking into.

I’ll not be approaching the situation with that level of optimism.
 
I was in the same room as a horror film a couple of months ago. I was on my laptop doing things with headphones on and not really paying attention, but I still had pretty heavy nightmares for a couple of days afterward.
 
I am simply not a horror-equipped person.

I think the reason is because when I think about something, I think about it very quickly and can run through a lot of scenarios involving it in no time at all.
 
Like with my arachnophobia I recognize that the word tarantula shouldn’t unnerve me because it’s just a word, but when it comes up in conversation I’ll have almost instantly run through all of my worst thoughts about them.
