I saw Vader in London last night, they were brilliant. Celebrating 40 years & even had former guitarist Mauser join them for some songs.

A bloke I was chatting to for a bit at the venue last night said they were making a new album, really awesome news. Can’t wait to hear Panic Attack when it comes out.

Judas Priest still has it thanks to Rob Halford for his amazing vocals
While I’m happy that they’re back, I find it kind of jarring how blink-182 are still singing about being snotty young guys who like having sex, when they’re all in their 40s-50s and are married with children.
Does anyone else find that weird, or is it just me?
@TheHappySpaceman
Is does seem rather awkward at that age

I think that’s a good point. Bands usually give their old fans what they want, anyway

Also, the modern “scene” scene are all about bands such as Sleeping With Sirens and Bring Me The Horizon and artists like Machine Gun Kelly and Olivia Rodrigo so veteran acts like them weren’t going to keep up or change to fit current trends.

I can’t believe I am enjoying listening to all the songs right now that I used to ignore and loathe 10 years ago.
Todd’s first foray into prog rock with his newest one hit wonderland on Tubular Bells by Mike Oldfield, I expected that he’d be a noob at it like I am. Didn’t know that Mike Oldfield was part of Soft Machine, a band that I know by name rather than for the music.
@Mr.Myoozik
I don’t know where Todd got that information from, but that has to be false - Mike Oldfield did audition for ex-Soft Machine member Kevin Ayers’ post-Soft Machine band, known as The Whole Wide World, but there’s no solid info on the net that he actually played with the Softs themselves. Addedum: I’m a fan of Soft Machine, read about them extensively, and have listed to almost all their albums by now.

Oh no wait, I mistyped, I was referring to Kevin Ayers who was part of Soft Machine, not Mike. Kevin left the band to form his own and recruited Mike Oldfield.

Also, why am I not surprised you’re a fan of Soft Machine? :P
Also yeah, you got me. Full of not-surprises :P

Either way, it is still true that me and Todd don’t have a lot of knowledge for prog rock so it would be an easy mistake for the both of us to make

@Mr.Myoozik
That’s true, and I don’t fault either of you for it, especially for just getting a foot through the door in that regard.

So….This is Fred Durst nowadays
