This is the thread for all things music.
Music thread
Heya! I would use this thread to shamelessly promote my own band, but I think I’d rather not be so blatant about it. :P
Will be a thread to talk about own music things or opinions, reviews and that stuff?

Hey, unless he says otherwise, I think it’s okay.

Ok then, we can start discussing about music we’ve listening recently, in my case, i’ve been listening to Arctic Monkeys about 2 months now and they are so good, looked time ago for indie bands like them and i got stuck on them haha. What do you guys think about them?

And even outside of it, i guess it’s the effect of indie music, hardly it gets as much as big like antoher bands, for example The Strokes, The Fratellis, The Hives, etc. that they didn’t have the promotion as another ones.

I dig the Arctic Monkeys… at least the one song I’ve heard from them.

That’s one of my favorite song of theirs. I also really like When The Sun Goes Down.

They have a lot of really great stuff. Their album The Resistance is probably a good place to start. You’ve probably heard Uprising before.
@Holofan4life
Seen them three times in 2010, 2013, and 2016. The last time I saw them, they played Citizen Erased, my favorite song of theirs.

This is real, by the way.

Also, I don’t care what anybody says, hair metal needs to make a comeback.
Remember when popular music actually required talent? (Well, that, hot babes, ridiculously big hair, and cars) Remember when songs became known for catchy choruses, soaring instrumentation, and amazing solos instead of just becoming famous because six seconds of it were really gimmicky?
This era of music needs to return, and fast.

Talking about soaring instrumentation, does anyone else here like Disco?

If you guys like disco, then I will advise you to check out the works of Giorgio Moroder. He was Donna Summer’s producer in the disco era and kept making huge hits into the ’80s, working with artists like Blondie, Barbra Streisand, Freddie Mercury, David Bowie, Pat Benatar, Billy Squier, Bonnie Tyler, Loverboy, Kenny Loggins, Cheap Trick, Cher, Elton John, Sammy Hagar, Chaka Khan, Olivia Newton-John, and recently Daft Punk.

I’ve even started playing a game where I can see if I can get from one music artist to Giorgio Moroder in six degrees or less.
