Man, I’m still livid about this. Changing the ending of the tracking week just to match up with the award show season? That’s the stupidest thing I’ve ever heard! The entire chart watching community right now is fuming from this, me included.

I honestly didn’t expect they’d even end something like that at all, especially if it’s far above 7 days…

If DT managed to bring Portnoy back, then I wish these following guys would do to their former bands as well: ZP Theart in DF & Adam Gontier in 3DG.

So The Beatles released their final song, Now And Then, which is a combnation of an unreleased track from the 90’s and an unfinished John Lennon demo tape from the 70’s completed using AI, I listened to it and for a swan song, it was not bad

The lyrics are well written, Paul’s singing was good and the harmonizations weren’t half bad either, I couldn’t tell that they used a program for John and George’s singing. However, I’m not too much of a fan of the production, it sounded weirdly compressed and like it was recorded in a vacuum and I couldn’t hear much of the instrumentation, which themselves were good too

I liked it, though I wish it could’ve been better and sounded more, “organic” for a lack of a better term. Wouldn’t mind listening to it again.

Just to clarify, they didn’t use a program to generate John’s singing, they merely used it to clean up the surface noise. If his singing was any more “organic”, you’d still be hearing the heavy tape hiss that affected the original demo recording. I agree about the production style though, and couldn’t make out the instruments either. It is what it is, and I found it pretty powerful nonetheless.

I don’t normally do out-of-ten scores, and didn’t do so on my review, but mine would be 8/10 too.

On a music discord server I’m in, one member freaked out that because they were using a program for the song, they thought that AI was gonna take over music, which is untrue.

If the production was a lot more polished, I would’ve gave it a higher score but as is, it’s still a good ditty
