These guys really let themselves go for some apparent reasons.

The song itself is really good. The video? In concept, they’re clearly trying for a Tool type of thing but in execution…

I kind of wonder if these guys blew their budget on the first two music videos for “Nobody” and “We Love You.” Or if this is the best we can get due to the actors’ and VFX Union strikes.

Correct it was more mix of Avenged Sevenfold going prog and a little of Thrash Metal

Me too, but its popularity basically imploded on itself from all the glut of mediocrity and terrible songs that drowned out the market and mostly pushed aside other genres of the time

The oversaturation and number of nothing songs, yeah, and the fear of other bands switching to disco. (Combined with a small amount of racism and homophobia, let’s be honest.)

Speaking of which, I recently relistened to Shakedown Street, aka the Grateful Dead’s “disco Dead” album, and I did find the album to be mediocre, but honestly, the disco songs on it are the best songs on the album. Like, the title track is a helluva lot of fun, and is better than some of the more rocking songs on it.

So yesterday i found out that Thy Art Is Murder has fired their singer CJ over his comment and the new album was without him with some unknown singer who is rumored to be the guy from Aversions Crown

The Sound Of Silence.

Simon and Garfunkel’s version is an ominous warning to everyone about an impending danger.
Disturbed’s version was an angry lashing to everyone in the aftermath of a tragedy for ignoring the warning.

That’s a really good way of looking at it. I know a lot of people dislike the Disturbed version, but I think it works quite well in that regard.

Also, I read about that and it led me down a rabbit hole to discover that Ryan Seaman, one-half of the pop rock duo I Don’t Know How But They Found Me, was fired a few days ago, leaving Dallon Weekes (ex-Panic! at the Disco) as the only member.
