i only just found out about it. i looked on their Facebook page a few weeks ago & back then, they were only saying something was to be announced & i had hoped it’d be a reunion but wanted to wait & see. i was only reminded of it when browsing through Metal Archives.

Speaking of EW&F, Maiden is probably inspired from their album or it just looked eerily similar.

Perhaps because there would have to be distinction between the different types of musicians? There are the big name stars, then touring musicians, session musicians, independent musicians who aren’t signed to a label, soundtrack musicians, and probably tons of others I’m forgetting. I know there are a few songwriters’ unions as well.
