Moe of war (stuff like Kantai Collection, Girls und Panzer, etc) (potentially nsfw)

I don’t think anyone knows why, but for some reason personifying weapons of war and/or hitting history with cuteness or such is popular. So why not make a thread about it?
 
Kantai Collection is about personifying WWII ships and such into cute women.  
 
There’s a anime, there’s both a browser game, manga, arcade game, etc
 
 
Girls und Panzer is about high school students operating tanks for competitions and such.  
 

 
 
Upotte! is about personifying guns into highschool girls.  

 
 
Strike Witches/Brave Witches is a franchise where they take famous WWII fighter pilots and turn them into girls.  
 

 
Almost forgot Sora No Woto.

I don’t know whether to be impressed or sad, considering how much shit certain game companies got when they were accused of glorifying war and hyping up the “heroism” aspect of military service with the Call of Duty series and other military-themed FPS games.

Moe Warfare as I call it (Sora No Woto was called that aparently, as Call of Kyon: Moe Warfare) for lack of any official term.  
On chac it is often refered as /ak/ (as mix of /a/ and /k/) but it’s not accurate because /ak/ all /a/ and /k/ related works even if not neccery with cute girls.
 
This is one of my fav subgenres in anime/manga (however I wish to see more of it beyond those).  
I like even art like that, with animesque girls drawn in military uniforms, with weapons or in combat.
 
I consider works what have usally normal military but moe elements are still present like Izetta The Last Witch from currently airing shows (not only Izetta but also Fine Royal Guard is full of cute and badass solder girls), Sora No Woto is like this too.
 
 
Of coure Girls Und Panzer is my favorite of this (especially after movie). It hit perfectly many aspects of those plus really good tank scenes on it own. I still read GuP spin of manga what are still released (even if works are slowed down since /ak/ group is to busy allready).

Recently read that. It have short chapters, loosely contented but really good and fun with genre. Story follow witch girls who joined Red Army in WW2 because she wanted travel world, ready to fight enemy and help with issues what people can have with magical creatures.

Shiroi Majo is literally a manga about the world’s deadliest soldier, Finnish sniper Simo Häyhä.
 
Because this is a manga, however, Häyhä is now a young woman who happens to look a LOT like Sinon from Sword Art Online.
