Well, I truly hope you enjoy life outside of the Bay Area.

Personally, I wouldn’t have stopped until I crossed the state line into Nevada, at the very least. But that’s just me.

I have to say, after a brutal shift at work, it’s more than a breath of fresh air to have three days off. Gotta embrace it!
It also helps that I work part time, to be sure

I think most people would be better off outside of California, but that discussion is best saved for another thread.

On a positive note, I’m pleased to say that I’m officially under 144 pounds, which means I’ve lost all the weight I gained during the pandemic!

That’s great, use it to your advantage. I wish I can get three days off myself, but that’s one of the downsides of being a reliable employee I guess :V

Trust me, I’m super reliable and work my hardest! I guess I just get lucky sometimes is all.
I’ve indeed been enjoying these three days off, though I have to go to the dentist tomorrow (my last day off) to get a filling… I’ll just be glad when that’s over!

That’s what makes me mad about cheap grocery stores like Aldi. They don’t hire enough people. I’d rather pay more at walmart and not wait forever. I don’t like self checkout but I prefer it to no checkout.

It’s best to go to a big chain like Wal-Mart or Target because they are in constant demand for people, especially for the back with shipping and stocking

At least some grocery stories, like the one I work at, are unionized. So if we have any issues, we can take it up with management and any other higher ups. That doesn’t mean that some mistakes and oversights aren’t still made at work, and the workload can be a real hassle no matter how many employees there are

Drinking some Mike’s Hard Lemonade while relaxing. Might not be beer or any fancy alcohol, but I’m content with it.

Those are pretty damn good.

Hard lemonade is a flavored malt beverage and falls under the category “alcopop,” or alcoholic pop drinks.

alcoholic soda. It’s a little stronger than it taste suggest, it’s strong as a normal beer usually.

People laugh at this style of drink, but they’re cheap and good tasting.

When I first started drinking, Mike’s Hard Lime was my go-to (in addition to Strongbow cider)
I never overdid it though - with alcohol, I pretty much strictly stick to one can a night

Yeah, screw those who say that you’re not a man just because you don’t drink beer and instead prefer more fruity cocktails or any alcohols with sweet flavors in them. I can drink whatever I want just as long as they have flavor in them, they’re way better than any beer I’ve ever tried.
