The End wasn't The End - Found a new home after the great exodus of 2012

Oh.
I have played all three, and Dark Souls 3 is my personal favorite. I want to play Demon's Souls but I don't have a PS3.

To be honest, I like Bloodborne more than any of the Souls games I've played. Please don't hate me.

True, but some would call me a "scrub" for liking Bloodborne the most. I've heard it called "Dark Souls for casuals".

Anyway, I would say Bloodborne is the reason Dark Souls 3 is my favorite, because it takes alot from Bloodborne. Particularly the faster combat and more gothic influences. I prefer the eldritch enemies of Bloodborne though.

I'm pretty sure that most people who actually played Bloodborne will say that it's a tough game, possibly harder than any of the core Soul games, though that's what I've heard, since I never actually played it, and just seen an LP of it. And I agree that they took some of the best parts of Blood to make # as great as it is.

I would say Bloodborne is about as hard as 3, but not quite as hard as 1 or 2. Two was the hardest for me, mostly because of all the multi bosses and your HP getting cut when you die.

I feel like saying a conservative opinion of mine: Even before DS3, the theory of Solaire being Gwyn's First Born has a few holes if you think about it.

It was a popular theory before DS3 introduced the Nameless King, though things going against said theory are that Solaire uses a sword and shield, while Nameless had a broken statue of him holding a spear. Also, those Sunlight Medals are not only found in Anor Londo, another point people use, and are dropped by Chaos Bugs in the Demon area. Even his name Solaire (Sole heir) could be misleading or mean he's just a royal that lost his mind.

OK.

I feel that the people complaining about DS3 referencing the first two games are the same people who fangasmed at Dark Souls 1 referencing Demon Souls. At least the references in 3, both the small ones and the glaring, pointless/lazy ones are from the same universe, 1's was just pandering.

I know I bitch in this thread more than I should (I actually made this hoping to nerd out about Souls with other fans, due to a lack of a Soul thread), I feel like doing something different. I'm curious about peoples favorite play style in these games, and if you are willing to comment (You can post anonymously and/or unsubscribe after you post), I would like to hear your play style. Would help me feel like I'm not the only fan here.

While I usually go through the game on my first run two-handing a large weapon (Murakumo, Demon's Great Hammer, and Farrron Greatsword), the build that I found to be my favourite to use in another run of DS1 was the Heavy Strength Cleric. I find a good Greatshield, find the biggest holy rock on a stick, wear armor that fits the theme, and block to victory. I plan on doing a DS3 version when I get the opportunity, though I can't decide on the helmet to use. If you have a suggestion, I'm willing to hear them.
