College Sucks

Why go to college? So many people want to go college and believe they’ll get a job right after that. Some of them also act so snobbish towards entry level workers without college degrees. It just looks like a huge scam to bring you into an unpayable debt that sucks the life out of you. Why bother even going if it’s there to bring nothing but misery and false hope and turns you into an asshole with the “I’m better than you peasant” attitude. Fuck college.

It depends on what you want to do. If you want a job that’s more of a trade, college may not be needed and you can just get on-the-job experience. But if you want to go into a specific field, especially one that requires a very high level of knowledge and skill, you need some kind of specialized education. I admit though many colleges are just money pits for a lot of people; they do everything they can to bleed you dry and they still want more.

did nothing wrong
To put it bluntly, unless you want to learn how to make degenerate modern art, like being accosted by sjw bottom feeders or actually want to get a degree in white guilt from a pseudo-intellectual communist professor college is rapidly becoming pointless. (or at least more trouble than it’s worth for some people today).

And no you’re definately not guaranteed a job upon graduation - people make a lot of money in the tech industry for example but from what I understand it’s kinda becoming over-saturated. But it depends on where you live - in America the demand is shifting to skilled labor. All the same I personally wouldn’t recommend Technical School though (I don’t feel like I got much out of mine).

People go to college for the same reason others enter the skilled labor market, find a job. Yes, a college degree doesn’t guarantee a job…but really in today’s age nothing does. You can have a lot of education, or a little, and end up flipping burgers. You seem jaded, I can only assume that some college somewhere rejected you, or you’ve seen your friends fail, or something else has seriously rattled your nerves.

College is needed for a shit ton of positions, or would you like to be treated by a doctor who has never trained? It trains specialists for certain jobs that can’t be grasped with direct exposure. There are quite a few positions that you can’t just throw someone in and expect them to function, they have to be trained first.

You know, entry level work can be looked at in a similar way mate. Slaving away your entire life to make some other mook rich, praying that you’ll have enough retirement, or manage to land a job with a good pension. Sitting one major illness or disaster away from the total upending of your life. All the while some smug corp executive bankrolls on the back of your work, all while you’re just a number in the system, and a cog in the works. Expendable, replaceable, and ultimately pointless in the grand scheme of things.

See? Generalizing an entire system of life choices hurts doesn’t it? To focus so much on the darker aspects of complicated life choices, and to be so jaded by what we perceive as evil that we spit, bitch, and moan about every minor detail. Every institution exists for a reason, and every job, every degree, every modicum of labor is necessary. Those who wish to be specialized in certain fields need a college degree, skilled labor can do trade schools and on-site training, entrepreneurs can build companies, and unskilled labor keeps the system running. When you look at it like this, those degrees, those cogs, those exces, they all serve a role and function. Each cannot exist without the other. A CEO can’t have a company without the Workers, can’t have tech with all the Scientists and Engineers, and you can’t have those without Teachers, Professors, Trainers, and internships.

Learn to see the world in many shades, or continue to live in your jaded little dome, in the end it doesn’t really matter to me all that much.

There are many reasons to go to college, including:
Career advancement: A college degree can increase your job opportunities and earning potential.

Personal growth: College provides the opportunity to learn new skills, explore your interests, and challenge yourself.

Networking: College allows you to meet new people and develop professional connections.

Preparation for future: College prepares you for the challenges of the real world and provides a foundation for lifelong learning.

Improved critical thinking and problem-solving skills: College courses encourage students to think critically and solve complex problems.
Ultimately, the decision to go to college should be based on individual goals and aspirations.

College is great, but you’re pretty much stuck with medicine, actuarial degrees, engineering, and being a lawyer (and actuarial and engineering degrees typically require an internship to have work right out of college). (All of these things pay better and have a lesser workload than the vast majority of trades.)
EDIT: I found out about Computer Science. It looks promising.

well it gives more opportunities to buid a career and find well-paid job. I study abroad right now it’s not so easy but i try to do my best. To cop with all these paper works and writing I hire pro writers from college essays for sale at essayshark.com. Sometimes reviewing the essay written by a professional writer can serve as a learning opportunity, it can gain insights into effective writing techniques, proper formatting, and structuring your essay.

8 years later.
I have two masters degrees and going for my PHd soon.
Much debt, but otherwise things worked out decently.

The secret ingredient is substance abuse.
Alchohol, caffeine, and sugar. Plus lots of time and money.
Both of my masters are in similar fields, so there was a lot of overlap in the second one. Which made it easier and faster.

Is clop good enough? THOSE substances hurt my tummy. >w>
At least I have a lot of time and money (as in scholarships and family assistance).
I can only get one bachelor’s, but at least that gives me time to focus. Maybe I’ll come back for a Masters’ if I find out it’s my dream job and worth an additional debt.

Porn and sex helped me too.
Some masters are paid for. My first one was, I just had to teach classes while there.
I came out with both masters for less debt than a lot of people have for just a BA.

@Zincy
College makes admission into ANYTHING a challenge. It’s absurd you need letters of recommendation for masters’ degrees, and it’s even worse that many colleges require a LoR for ASSOCIATE/BACHELOR admissions.

I’ll be non-traditional so I can use supervisors and stuff for my letters of recommendation.
At least they don’t require the GRE in a lot of schools.
