Good news: May 15th is when Battlebots will premier!  
Bad news: Bronco, Yeti, Blacksmith, Bombshell and the Chinese teams, Rail Gun Max and Wan Hoo, will not be returning this year.

 
The team behind this bot were accepted, yet had to decline due to time and financial reasons.

Wonder why they’re not returning?

Edit: Here’s a reddit thread showing the bots that are confirmed, rumored and either did not qualify or enter.

Goodness, new and returning ones are coming, one from South Korea too! Now all that’s left is for Japan to join BattleBots because they’re known for creating giant robots… but even they should know that designing bigger robots doesn’t win competitions, especially if they’re more show than go.

Yup and the team from South Korea also built a pretty good bot, Orby Blade, in King of Bots and This is Fighting Robots.

Sweet Jesus that thing is deadly. Of course, its also a danger to itself and hitting the walls can seriously put a number on Orby Blade, damaging itself in the process due to the sheer force of the weapon itself.

Yeah, it’s also 3/3 in King of Bots/This is Fighting Robots also, in terms of win/losses.
 
It’s a pretty impressive bot too and I do wonder if they’ll enter it into Battlebots or if they have another bot they’re going to submit.

There was Electric Ray but sadly never entered because it didn’t meet safety tests.
